We didn’t need any more reasons to be excited for HBO‘s Watchmen series, but after the first episode, here we are. Their team has brought on some of the most esteemed composers – Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross – who are responsible for the show’s original score. However, that’s not all! We’ve received word that the score spans three volumes that are available for pre-order.
The first installation of the three volumes is nearing its release date of November 4. While the others are spaced out, they’re all being unveiled on a Monday that follows the Sunday airings of the show’s new episodes.
On another note, Trent and Atticus have awe-inspiring scores with which you might be familiar. The Nine Inch Nails duo persevered through their soundtrack work on The Social Network and Gone Girl. Knowing Watchmen‘s themes and atmosphere, enlisting this duo immediately clicks and marks an obvious match.
Knowing just how much a soundtrack can influence movies and shows, we’re in for a treat. This duo’s legendary work speaks for itself, and you can hear it yourself on the screen each Sunday episode. Now that the first episode is out, you can get a teaser into what to expect. To pre-order any volume of your choice from HBO’s Watchmen, click here.
