If you thought that Sensation parties were a thing of the pasts, you better think twice. ID&T -The firm behind Tomorrowland and many other events- just announced that the event will be back next year to Amsterdam, making its way to the new decade.
Sensation is an indoor electronic dance music event that originated in Amsterdam. Two main events make Sensation, Sensation White, and Sensation Black. The attendees have to dress accordingly, with the music reflecting the vibe of the night. The event started-out exclusively in Amsterdam Arena (Now called Johan Cruijff ArenA) from 2000 to 2005. Afterward, it exported itself across 50 other cities in and outside Europe, but with Amsterdam remaining its main location.
After many years of huge success, the event somehow lost its glow. In 2017, the organizers announced the end of the Amsterdam-located Sensation. It was titled “The Final” and attracted a sold-out capacity crowd of over 50,000 attendees.
However, things are moving again. A new Sensation event will be taking place on the 4th of July 2020 back home in Amsterdam. We don’t have much more details, but Sensation will get a new format, “Beyond Sensation“.
